Gift Ideas for Entrepreneurs

No affiliate links, just things that have been helpful to me or founders in Tacklebox. I figured this was a good day for this sort of post, as you're googling whether four day old green bean casserole is safe to eat and considering a Roomba or half off Vuori joggers.

Here are gifts for the entrepreneur in your life. We’ll do books, probably the best bang for the buck, and then a few fun(ner) things:

For Strategy:

For Systems + Goals:

For Creativity:

For Customer Interviews:

And a few fun things:

  • Nudge Counter - yes, it’s expensive. But that’s the point. You put this thing on your desk and hit the button every time you spend some dedicated amount of time on your startup. Then the number stares at you while you do everything else.

  • Eight Sleep - I haven’t pulled the trigger on this yet, but we’ve got a bunch of founders who have. Again, it’s expensive. But, if you’re sleeping terribly, the difference between a clear, rested mind and a frazzled, tired one is the difference between your startup working and not. A few hundred dollars off for Black Friday.

  • Focusmate - virtual coworking for accountability and community. Not bad.

  • Back Pocket Notebook - you’d like your subconscious working at all times on your idea, but taking notes on your phone is a distraction. Take notes in a notebook that lives in your back pocket and reflect each day. Field notes or a bit nicer.

  • Pen for the notebook, because most pens are too big and sharp and all that.

  • Notion Templates - very useable templates for the base of internal systems.

  • Five Minute Journal - anything we can do to make reflection more likely

  • Headspace - anything we can do to make meditation more likely
